Sharon,
You are a fascinating professor as you have so much knowledge to share with your students. I feel lucky to be your student as I can update my computer/internet knowledge. However, we do not know if the class will exist and I will come to class each week to find out if we made it.
On the first evening I found out about blogger.com and how I can use it within your classroom but also, how I might use in my own classroom. I found out more information in one evening than I have in months preceeding this class.
My question is: is this just an internet class or do you give strategies for software programs as well? It is reasonable to expect that one ties right into the other. I would like to continue to be informed about the possibilities of the computer, internet and how to apply this knowledge directly to my special education students. Thank you for your love of technology and your dedication to your art.
My name is Barbara Noonan, I teach middle school, 7-9, at Santa Ana Opportunity School in Hollister, CA. This is located in San Benito County.
Apparently, I opened a new blogger site and not the old blogger. Is that a problem? Should I open an old blogger blog?
By creating a blog, I am given a new tool to communicate with students, parents, other educators, and just about anyone. Blogs have a great deal of use and it is free. You can send audio and photos to the parents of my students and to my students as well. -
However, if one uses student pictures the educator needs parent permission.
One can keep a running record of what the professor is saying in class, as I am doing now, and save it in "save as draft". If I publish the blog it will go to you, sharon, in an email and I can then reread by looking at past blogs.

Hi,
If the class goes, you will learn about massive internet links, software programs, adapting what you have, you name it. I love this class.
